Kaela is a professional planner. Since joining the leadership team at M’akola Development Services, Kaela has grown the capacity of the organization, quadrupling the staffing compliment and expanding the client base to serve a diverse, broad spectrum of non-profits, government bodies, and First Nations.
During the course of her career, Kaela has led the development of numerous urban and rural planning projects, utilizing her diverse skill set to successfully manage projects from the concept and design phase, through to operations.
She has acquired solid experience in land use planning, rezoning and development approvals, funding, financing and budgeting, risk management, and operations consulting, and has significant experience with Aboriginal land use, land tenure, and infrastructure analysis. Kaela also provides team direction on community consultation, facilitation, and research and analysis.
