Nicole is a communications professional with nine years of diversified experience in content creation, public relations, and project management. Colleagues know Nicole as an authentic communicator who errs on the side of optimism and aims to create an encouraging, upbeat atmosphere.
With a degree in political science from the University of Victoria, Nicole lived for a year in Uganda and then obtained a Masters Degree in International Development from York University in Toronto. A realization of the importance of local development and a focus on the challenges facing her own community led her back to Vancouver Island. After working as a communications manager for a therapeutic community for the homeless, Nicole went on to become the Executive Director of the Victoria Brain Injury Society before moving into her position at M’akola Development Services.
