With a background in environmental management and over 14 years of professional experience, Dominique has successfully implemented projects within the natural resource management sector, at both the local and international level. Having worked for several indigenous organizations, she has contributed to the planning, development, and implementation of indigenous research projects and policy initiatives in British Columbia and Nova Scotia.
Since joining M’akola, Dominique has honed key project coordination and management skills necessary for the implementation of affordable housing projects across Vancouver Island. She has gained experience with procurement, invoice and contract management, funding applications, client relations, and reporting. Dominique is currently coordinating the development of over 300 units.
Dominique has a Master of Resource and Environmental Management degree from Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia (2013), a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Guyana (2004), and a postgraduate Diploma in Management from the University of London (2011).
