Sandy is an accomplished housing research and policy consultant with over 6 years of experience in local government planning and provincial level program management. He has specific experience with new BC housing legislation both as a project consultant and as an expert advisor for local governments across the province developing new housing policy. He has developed Housing Needs Reports/Assessments and Housing Strategies for communities across British Columbia and consulted on Official Community Plan reviews and Health and Wellbeing Strategies.
Sandy believes that planning is a powerful tool for equitable and socially motivated growth and is passionate about encouraging self-reflective planning practices and equitable community engagement. He is a graduate of the Dalhousie University Master of Planning program and his work has appeared in Planning West and the Critical Planning Journal.
